Austrian Audio opened its doors on July 1st, 2017. Made up of former AKG staff after the closure of their legacy home in Vienna, they set out to create something new, challenging, and respectful to their heritage, while carrying on and upholding the reputation that had been built up over many years.
The OC818 is a multipattern dual output condenser microphone with world’s first optional wireless control. The handmade CKR12 ceramic capsule is made to same critical dimensions as the best legacy CK12 capsules Austrian Audio could find, measure and record. The OC818 features multiple polar patterns, microprocessor control of polarization voltages and two analog high-pass filters with three settings.
The true power of the OC818 is available when used with the PolarPilot app (Android and iOS), which allows wireless control over your analog: patterns, high-pass and pad in real-time via BlueTooth! The PolarPilot app allows you to discover and create 255 discrete polar patterns and save, recall, and share your favorite settings. The OC818 is always pure analog. It is only the analog bias voltages that are being governed remotely. Switching also is always analog. There is no digital in either the audio or bias paths. It’s everything you want, with nothing you don’t.

Superb service from Mix Foundation
Super helpful staff (the man Mike Haru!) and a smooth easy transaction.
I had originally bought a stylus but found I didn't need it after all, and Mix Foundation were happy for me to replace it with an Ortofon Cartridge and stylus.
Good to be buying from staff who've been the in the game for decades and know what they're selling.
I highly recommend Mix Foundation for anything DJ related.

i have used a range of mics over the years from akg rhode and sure.my mic of chioce has always been my buddy holly Shure which they still make.My buddy holly is well over 25 years old and I looked for a new mic.
after looking at the super buddy holly I settled on the Shure Nex8s based on specs.So far this mic seems well worth the extra cost.From a warm low to a high volume growl with overtones it enables a huge range of vocal techniques.Highly commended
Glad I finally got some replacements. Can confirm it fits Mk5, Mk2 1200's

The sweet spot
Coming from MC cartridges this is my first MM cartridge the quality of this mid range cart surprised me .
I believe you could be happy staying with blue no need to move up the range .

Age does matter
After putting off updating my 30 year Michelle turntable, RB 300 arm with AT 0C9 cartridge to the Technics SL-1210GR.
I was surprised just how well isolated this turntable is from vibrations and resonances . Coming from a fully suspended belt drive table, the amazing sound quality plus direct drive & ease of use is just a bonus. Totally happy with this product and the service from mix foundation.

Great product, great service!
I recently bought the Ortofon 2m Bronze from Mix Foundation. Phillip couldn't have been more helpful in the pre-purchase decision-making process, even going as far as consulting his Ortofon rep about compatibility with my vintage turntable and tonearm.
The product is still bedding-in but has already shown far greater depth and separation in the sound stage.
Couldn't be more pleased!
