The Next Generation of DJ Creativity
The Denon DJ Prime 4 G2 is a four-channel standalone system designed for DJs who demand full creative control without relying on laptop software. This second-generation controller introduces multi-zone MPC-style performance pads that allow simultaneous triggering of hot cues, effects manipulation, lighting control, and real-time stem separation. The onboard Engine OS handles four-deck mixing with direct access to streaming platforms including TIDAL, Beatport, Amazon Music Unlimited, and SoundCloud GO+ via built-in Wi-Fi connectivity.
Audio conversion runs through ESS Sabre 32-bit digital-to-analogue converters across balanced XLR main, booth, and zone outputs. The 10.1-inch HD touchscreen supports gesture control, while full-size 8-inch high-resolution jog wheels display stem status and cue positions. Two dynamic internal effects modules provide access to over 25 effects types, complemented by ten reactive touch effects with latch functionality, fader-triggered effects with quick-access favourites, and four sweep effects with dedicated channel knobs. Dual USB Type-C and Type-A inputs accommodate multiple media sources, alongside two sets of stereo line/phono inputs and an SD card slot.
The system includes a physical DMX output port running Engine Lighting powered by SoundSwitch for direct fixture control. Two microphone inputs feature three-band EQ, echo and reverb effects, talkover ducking, and anti-feedback processing, with the second mic input doubling as an instrument line input. Upcoming OmniSource support will enable simultaneous mixing between standalone Engine OS operation and computer-based software including Serato, Algoriddim, and VirtualDJ. An internal hard drive bay accepts compatible storage devices for expanded library capacity beyond connected USB and SD media.
